Update Archive

October 16, 2022: Well, I certainly had lofty goals back in January 2020 before, uh, you know. 2020 happened. Anyway, I am still here, and some of that to-do list has been chipped away at, although I know I still have quite a ways to go before I hit all those goals I outlined last time. But it will get done eventually. XD Anyway, just a quick note today that I am changing my websites email address. The old one has been getting some really irritating spam, and my host's spam solutions, well, suck. So I'm switching over to a new address. If you see any links on any of my sites that point to webmiss at noble-scarlet.net, please disregard those and instead contact me at lisa at noble-scarlet.net.

January 9, 2020: Once again, it's been quite a while since I've updated, but I have some general maintenance things that I've been working on behind the scenes! 2020 has brought with it a lot of "this seems like a good time to phase out this older bit of technology" on the part of our internet overlords. Flash will no longer be supported at the end of this year, but in less high-profile news, my host is getting rid of PHP 5.6, which is what the last version of Enthusiast released by its creator relied upon. Fortunately, some kind people on Github have updated the script, so I've spent the last couple months getting those updates implemented across all of my fanlistings (and the same for Lizzie over at La Rose Magnifique).

Additionally, the blogging script that I used to manage updates over at Freaky Gone Fabulous is not compatible with PHP 7.2, so it had to go. For the time being I just have a static page up (including a new update with some more information about where I've been the last several years!), but I saved the previous updates and I'm looking at options for another dynamic blog to use on the site. If that doesn't work out, I may stick with a static update page with an archive the way I have on this site.

KFU needed a total overhaul due to running on an out-of-date install of PHPBB that was incompatible with PHP 7.2. The forum has now been upgraded to the latest version, and though the site looks a little bit different, I was relieved that the change wasn't as drastic as expected. And the user ranks and custom smilies were preserved! A win/win for all.

The biggest thing left to do, which I am saving for another time, is addressing all the video embeds that previously ran on Flash across the various fanlistings on N-S.net and R-M.net. From fanvids to episode clips, a lot of our sites are pretty video-heavy and as of now none of the video clips are working. This is somewhat superfluous, though, so I'll be working on getting those updated at a less breakneck pace than all of the other site-breaking issues listed above.

I'm hoping that in this decade, I will be able to get back into the hobbies that I enjoyed in the earlier part of the previous decade. That includes my hobby sites like my fanlistings as well as Freaky Gone Fabulous! So I hope I will have some more updates for you soon. Happy New Year!

April 27, 2018: No, I'm not dead! I haven't had a lot of time to work on my fansites and fanlistings, but they're not going anywhere. Just a quick update today: all the fanlistings on the Angel Wings networks (Noble Scarlet, La Rose Magnifique) have been updated to include a link to our new Privacy Policy which explains how our fanlistings adhere to GDPR.

February 13, 2014: It's been awhile! With TFL going offline for almost a year, things were pretty stagnant in regards to fanlistings, so I sort of neglected this collective. DX But there was work going on behind the scenes, never fear. Here's what's new:

April 9, 2013: Closed and adopted a few fanlistings. The John and Abigail Adams fanlisting has been adopted by the lovely Betty, and the Sokka and Suki fanlisting is in the process of being adopted by the wonderful Nekoi Echizen, who adopted my Sokka fanlisting last year and did such a fantastic job on it! I will be sure to update when she's all finished and I have the new link. :-)

April 26, 2012: The Sokka fanlisting has been adopted by the lovely Nekoi Echizen! She did an amazing job on the site, you can check it out at its new location here. Be sure to update your links!

March 25, 2012: Thanks to the amazing Amelie from Girls Who Geek, who got into the Enthusiast interface and addressed some of its database issues, my fanlisting collective is actually loading now! This means you shold have an easier time navigating this site, and I'll have an easier time adding new members ;-D So major, major thanks to Amelie! Sitewise, we have one new fanlisting: the Alfie + Piper (from House of Anubis) fanlisting! I also did a bit of housekeeping, closing some of my low-popularity FLs that had been taking up space for awhile (Chris from Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, and Car 54, Where Are You?). I also bit the bullet and am adopting out the Sokka (Avatar) Fanlisting; I've already selected the new owner and I will update here when she has the site up in its new location!

March 12, 2012: I've noticed a great deal of slowness with my fanlistings and collective, so I'm working with one of the staffers at Girls Who Geek to try and address this and get the site running optimally again. Thank you for your patience! Meanwhile, I do have a fanlisting on upcoming that I'm quite excited about, so look forward to that!

September 3, 2011: Two new fanlistings! The first is for Luna Lovegood and Neville Longbottom from the Harry Potter series. I'm very excited to have gotten this FL, as they have been one of my favorite pairings for years! The other is not really "new," as I have re-adopted the Kuroki Mio (PGSM) fanlisting from my sister.

July 23, 2011: I've adopted out a few fanlistings over the past few weeks: Spud (American Dragon) was adopted by the lovely Rachel and can now be found here; additionally, my dear friend Selenia has adopted Erika from The Princess and the Pauper (find it here now) and Azura from Fairytopia (new link). I am also in the process of adopting some new listings, and will post when those are up and running!

May 13, 2011: One new fanlisting: this one's for Rei and Kilala from the manga, Disney's Kilala Princess. Thanks to Veronica for letting me adopt it!

May 1, 2011: Wow, I haven't updated here in awhile! Well, today I updated several pages hereabouts, including the Keep in Mind list, as well as the closed and adopted pages, which I hadn't updated in quite some time. I suppose those aren't really necessary, but I like to keep a complete list in case people ever wonder what happened to those sites. I've opened one new fanlisting since my last update, for Jerome + Mara from the Nickelodeon series, House of Anubis. Lastly, I did a major overhaul to Noble Scarlet, including a new layout and a blog I built myself using a tutorial from Girls Who Geek. I may implement that feature on here at some point, as it's a convenient way to keep track of my updates. ;-)

January 29, 2011: I spent the day battling with my fanlistings, lol. For some reason, I had a script error on one of my fanlistings... just one of them. Trying to fix it about blew Enthusiast up, so I decided to just to a clean install of Enthusiast (all members are still intact, though, I was just reinstalling the script). Everything seems to have worked and the error on the particular listing has vanished, so yay? If you have any problems with joining any of my fanlistings at any time, please e-mail me. I realized that it might be kind of hard to track down my contact info on my FLs, so I will work on adding contact info to each listing... but I'm beat for tonight, lol. A project for another day!

October 15, 2010: Whoo-hoo, I got approved for the Monster High Webtoon fanlisting! Shockingly, I managed to build the entire fanlisting in one day (can you tell I was excited? Haha), so it's already up and running, ready for you to join!

September 27, 2010: One new site opening today: Freaky Gone Fabulous, a fansite dedicated to Mattel's new Monster High franchise! I've been working on this site for several weeks now, so I'm happy that opening day is finally here! I've applied for some fanlistings that tie into the line as well, so if I get approved for those look for the site to grow quite a deal!

July 20, 2010: Much sooner than I anticipated, we have a new layout! Even yesterday I wasn't sure what I wanted to do for the layout, but then today I was suddenly stuck by inspiration, haha! I'm really back into Fruits Basket again, so this feels appropriate.

July 19, 2010: It seems like I never update this site anymore. I'm still doing work on all my sites, but I never post about it on here. Oops...? So here is an update on what I've been up to the past several months:

So that's what I've been up to recently. I have been working on major updates for other sites behind-the-scenes, and I'll try to remember to keep you updated on that progress here. Also, I am thinking about a new layout for here as well. I love Gwevin, but it's been up for like 9 months at this point. My problem is that I keep changing my mind about what fandom to use for a new layout... I'm still not entirely sure. We'll see.

January 12, 2010: One new fanlisting, for the relationship of Tiana + Naveen from the new Disney movie, The Princess and the Frog. I am so excited that I got approved for this fanlisting, so I hope you all like it and that I will do it justice!

November 28, 2009: I opened a new fanlisting: Chris Ramirez (Kamen Rider Sting) from Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. Also, my sister and I started a new Livejournal community, Princess Debut Stories, a sort-of fanfiction community for the Nintendo DS game, Princess Debut. If either of those sound interesting to you, please check them out! Also, as a side note: who saw Ben 10: Alien Swarm? I loved it!! I really liked the actors they picked, especially for Gwen and Kevin (as if you couldn't tell by this layout)-- they had such great chemistry and were so cute together!! If you haven't seen the movie, definitely check it out!

October 13, 2009: New layout!! This one features Gwen and Kevin from the upcoming movie, Ben 10: Alien Swarm. I am way too excited for this movie, haha. And I LOVE Gwen and Kevin! They are my favorite ship right now, I am thoroughly enjoying re-watching the first two seasons of Ben 10: Alien Force and seeing how cute their interactions are. Hope everyone likes the layout!

April 2, 2009: I opened a new fanlisting, for my all-time favorite book, Mara: Daughter of the Nile. If you haven't read this wonderful novel, you should definitely check it out!

March 2, 2009: A bit of a late update here, which I apologize for--but the Jesse de Silva + Suze Simon (from Meg Cabot's Mediator series) fanlisting is now open! This is a pretty big shrine as well as an FL, and I put a lot of effort into it, so I hope you will check it out!

January 8, 2009: Happy New Year! And the first new listing of the year is The Donald + Daisy Duck Fanlisting! Yaaay! Thanks to Kaz for letting me adopt this site!

December 18, 2008: New layout! After almost a year of my beloved Yuki, I felt like it was time for a change. Although I will always love you, Yuki. *pats* Anyway, how about an unseasonably sunny layout? I think that's a good idea! So here we have Super Mario Sunshine! I first made this layout back in 2006 when I got the game. It was unseasonal then, too. But for whatever reason I never put it up. However, I have been really into playing Mario games of late, so I decided the time had come to give this layout its time in the sun...so to speak. So I made a few adjustments and ta-da! I like it.

I updated a few of the pages for the new layout, too. Most notably, I split the closed and adopted page because it was getting way too huge; and I also added a Keep in Mind page rather than keeping it an addendum to the "Wishlist" page. You can now find a form and everything! Yeah I'm awesome, I know. More soon!

December 13, 2008: First of all, the Storm Hawks fanlisting is now up in its new location! You can now find it here. Thanks to Angelynx for adopting it from me! Next, we have two new fanlistings open today! The Seth Fanlisting and the Seth + Mirany Fanlisting, both from The Oracle Prophecies book series. I am excited about both of them! The Seth + Mirany fanlisting is not quite done yet as I have a few more pages to add, but it already has a TON of content. It's going to be a nice big fansite! So I hope you will check it out.

December 4, 2008: I never updated about it on here, but I have adopted the Mulan II Princesses fanlisting from Mayumi. So that's up now. Also, I got approved for the Seth + Mirany fanlisting, so I'm working on that and hopefully it will be up in the next few days. Lastly, I'm adopting out the Storm Hawks fanlisting, and I will post here with the new link when it's up. :-)

November 24, 2008: The past week or so I've been reading this book series called The Oracle Prophecies...my mom bought me the first book like 5 years ago when it came out and for some reason I never read it. But I found it while I was trying to make room on my shelf, so I decided to read it because I've been on a reading kick recently. I can't believe it took me so long to read it!! I LOVE this series! I seriously read the first book in a 28 hour span and have been ploughing through the rest at similar speed. So, that said, I decided to apply for two fanlistings about the series: one for Seth, my favorite character; and the other for Seth + Mirany, because they belong together. Yay! So there will be more updates here soon. :-)

September 28, 2008: Wow, I applied for, got approved for, built and opened a fanlisting all in a 24 hour span! I am pleased with myself. So. one new listing: the Sororities Fanlisting! This is a subject I'm pretty passionate about. I am a sorority woman myself, and I get so frustrated when I see the media and hear people spreading stereotypes that peg sorority women as bitches, sluts or bimbos. Sororities are very positive organizations that can change a girl's life forever, in a good way! As a sorority member, a woman is given opportunities do develop leadership skills, practice community service, excel academically, and make lifelong friends across the country. So I wanted to highlight the positive aspects of sorority life by making this listing! I hope it will be a success. :-)

September 15, 2008: Closed "The Storm" (Avatar: The Last Airbender episode 112) fanlisting. Yeah this is a brief update, but I don't really have much else to say. :-/

July 17, 2008: A few updates here. First of all, I adopted the fanlisting for Noble Scarlet, the namesake of my domain! I was very excited about this. You can find the listing here. Also, I closed the Gavin Troy and Cully Barnaby (Midsomer Murders) fanlisting. I lost interest, and apparently the show did too, because she wound up marrying someone else. *sigh* Ah well. More soon!

June 10, 2008: A bunch of little updates! First of all, I regret to announce that I have closed the "A Chance to Shine" (Akino) fanlisting. It was open for one year and got no members. Furthermore, no one was interested in adopting it. So I sent in the closed form today.

But I have good news, too! First of all, I applied for a new fanlisting: [+] Electric Pokemon (games/anime characters). I hope I get it, because I happen to think that Electric type Pokemon are the best kind! :-) Also, as of a few weeks ago, we have a brand new layout over at the Sokka + Suki fanlisting, yay! I love how it turned out.

Lastly, I'm doing a little sprucing up hereabouts. I added a new page to the "owned" section for communities, as I run 4 Livejournal communities and one forum. I also am looking to give some of my FLs a fresh face. I believe Sokka will be my first victim, as today he now has 250 members! Yaaay! Oh, and one more thing: "The Storm" (Avatar ep 112) will have a new home soon, as the lovely Danielle is adopting it. I will post here when the new link is available. More soon!

March 29, 2008: Not exactly a new listing, but the owner of the Hay Lin (comics) fanlisting suggested that we merge our sites (previously, I ran the Hay Lin fanlisting for animation only) and the memberlist, and that I take over running the new big site. So that's what we did! So there's a bunch of new content, a new layout, and 200 new members over at the Hay Lin Fanlisting. Check it out! I love how the new layout turned out.

Also, a friendly reminder that I am adopting out some fanlistings: "A Chance to Shine" by Akino (songs: female solo); Arthur "Spud" Spudinski from American Dragon Jake Long (animation: characters); "The Storm," ep. 112 of Avatar: The Last Airbender (animation: episodes); and Gavin Troy + Cully Barnaby from Midsomer Murders (relationships: TV shows). If you are interested in adopting any of these fanlistings, please e-mail me!

February 27, 2008: Shockingly (I know, right?), the Beauty Pop fanlisting is up and running! It only took me two days to do!! You can check it out here. So that pretty much catches me up on my sites...well, I lied, I need to update the Barbielistings with some new links. Apart from that, I'm going to start aggressively trying to adopt out the listings I mentioned in my previous post (see the update archive for Feb 25). Wish me luck!

February 25, 2008: Long time, no update! Today we unveil a new layout, which was made for me as a Christmas gift by the lovely Veronica! It features Yuki, my favorite character from my favorite manga, Fruits Basket! I'm sorry it took me so long to put up! Everything in my life has been so hectic that I haven't had as much time as I would like for my websites. Thus, I have decided to adopt out and/or close a number of my fanlistings, to give me more time to concentrate on the ones that I truly love. First and foremost, I gave the Mabel + Hastings fanlisting to Veronica; you can now find it at here. I am also interested in giving away: "A Chance to Shine" by Akino (songs: female solo); Arthur "Spud" Spudinski from American Dragon Jake Long (animation: characters); "The Storm," ep. 112 of Avatar: The Last Airbender (animation: episodes); and Gavin Troy + Cully Barnaby from Midsomer Murders (relationships: TV shows). If you are interested in adopting any of these fanlistings, please e-mail me!

I am opening one new fanlisting, and that is to adopt the Beauty Pop fanlisting from Veronica. So look forward to it!

November 3, 2007: Hurray! The Luciana Fanlisting is now open! Thanks again to Sabrina! Also, I got approved for the Skuld and Noble Scarlet fanlisting! I'm soooo excited! Today is just a great day for my fanlistings. :-D

October 30, 2007: Yay an update! The lovely Sabrina has been so kind as to let me adopt the Princess Luciana (Barbie as the Island Princess) fanlisting. I'm extremely excited about this, and hope to have it up very soon! I also applied for the Skuld and Noble Scarlet fanlisting. Other than that, I'm just going to try to do some housekeeping on my currents sites. :-) More soon!

October 2, 2007: At last, the Fairytopia layout I've been working on for two months is up! I hope you all like it! Also, major sitely updates. The following fanlistings are now up: Azura (Fairytopia); Storm Hawks; and Master Cyclonis (Storm Hawks). Additionally, the Barbielistings has been completely reformatted, and should be much more efficient now. Furthermore, I added the option of skins and am adding more skins to the site as frequently as possible. Phew! More soon!

September 8, 2007: Popping in with a quick update: the Erika Fanlisting is now open to the public! I was approved for both the Storm Hawks and Master Cyclonis fanlistings, and am working on those and the Azura fanlisting as quickly as I can. Also, I have a new layout for this site collective that's just about ready. I'm back at school now, and have consequently been really busy; however, I will have more updates here ASAP!

August 13, 2007: Well, Veronica has very kindly allowed me to adopt the Erika (The Princess and the Pauper) and Azura (Fairytopia) fanlistings! Also, the Storm Hawks fanlisting was removed from upcoming at TFL, so I applied again. So it looks like we'll be getting a few more sites around here, after all! Also, I'm revamping the Barbielistings, and hopefully the new look will be a bit more efficient. ^_^ More soon!

August 8, 2007: Okie-dokie! The Princess and the Pauper fanlisting is now up and running! Thanks again to Sabrina for letting me adopt it! Also...I decided to apply for another fanlisting, even though I swore I'd give myself a break. Heh heh. It's Master Cyclonis from Storm Hawks. She's my favorite character!! Anyway, apart from that, my major goals are: to finish updating my joined fanlistings and post the new layout for N-S.net; and to update Magical Defenders and Atlantis 12345, and a few others. Wish me luck!

July 31, 2007: YES! I'm almost totally done with my fanlistings. We have the Hay Lin fanlisting, the Dragon Booster fanlisting, and the Beau and Artha fanlisting. Yay! Now I just need to work on the Princess and the Pauper fanlisting. Whoo! I'm also in the process of making a new layout for Noble Scarlet, and possibly one for here soon. Also, look forward to new features on Noble Scarlet when I'm done!

July 23, 2007: A bit of a late update hereabouts...sorry about that! I've been busy. For instance, I'm converting my sites to Enthusiast. I decided to try out the collective function here, and I really like it! It took a lot of tweaking, but I got it just the way I wanted it! :-D As for fanlistings, the No. 1 and Milky Way fanlistings are open! Also, the lovely Sabrina has offered me the Princess and the Pauper fanlisting! I'm soooo excited!! Plus, I still have three upcoming fanlistings to finish. Busy, busy! Look forward to more here soon!

July 3. 2007: Phew! After non-stop work over the last week switching to a new computer and then slaving over layouts, Weasley Love is finally re-opened!! It now comprises of a main site, much like the old format, and a OBHWF fanfiction archive. Please check it out! Also, I got approved for the fanlistings I wanted, and I applied for two more, so look forward to those!

June 29, 2007: I decided to apply for two more fanlistings. They've been on my wishlist for a loooong time, so I really hope I get them: the Stella (Winx Club) and Hay Lin (W.I.T.C.H.). Hee. ^_^

June 13, 2007: Well, I did it! The "A Chance to Shine" fanlisting is now up and running! You can find it here. It's not totally done yet; I still have to make codes. But, as a whole, it's ready for joining! Relief!! Also, new layout at the Rapunzel fanlisting! Lastly, I applied for three more fanlistings. Hopefully, I'll get them!

June 4, 2007: The Eric + Taylor fanlisting is now up and running! Check it out here! Also, contrary to all expectations, I'm working on a major overhaul to Weasley Love! I'm planning on turning it into the OBHWF fanworks shrine (fanfiction and fanart). That way, it won't matter whether JKR screws it up with the seventh book or not; if OBHWF isn't canon, we still have fanon! I'm also considering turning the site into a Fanfiction Archive like PGSM Fanfiction, with WL as a shrine on the side. We'll see how that goes. Wish me luck!

May 24, 2007: New layout at the Nephrite + Ami fanlisting. More stuff soon to come; I just finished my last final today, so I'll have more time to dedicate to fun stuff!

May 7, 2007: So I decided to open this site collective for one purpose and one purpose only: I wanted to make a Hana Yori Dango layout but I wasn't ready to change my Princess Tutu layout at N-S.net yet. Pathetic, I know. So now my site collective has a home all its own and a layout that I'm SO PROUD OF to go along with it! In addition to this, I plan to post updates about the collective here (e.g., new layout at the whatever fanlisting, this fanlisting now open, etc.). Hopefully this will allow me to be more organized, as well as more creative with my layouts.

So, to start the ball rolling right, a collective update. I have been approved for the the Eric + Taylor (TV relationships, Power Rangers) and "A Chance to Shine" (songs, Akino) fanlistings! The E/T fanlisting is about 90% done, so it should be open in the next few days! Also, I'm almost done with a new layout for the Nephrite + Ami (TV relationships, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon) fanlisting, so hopefully that will be up soon! Lastly, I'm in the process of adopting out the "Yakusoku" (songs, Chisaki Hama) and Kuroki Mio (TV characters, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon) fanlistings, so the new links should be available soon!

Oh, and in case you're curious: I titled this site "Angel Feathers" because it's a subsidiary of Noble Scarlet; and, if you didn't know, Noble Scarlet is the angel of Skuld in Ah! Megami-sama. So, in other words, Angel Feathers is a part of Noble Scarlet. So cheesy. Oh, and just a note, I'm not going to have separate affiliates for this site collective. Affiliating with the main N-S.net domain will work nicely. ^_^
